All Because Two People Fell in Love

John and I met at Texas Tech University in 2004 and we just clicked; he is by far the best thing that ever happened to me. We married in April 2010 and began praying faithfully that God would one day answer our prayers and would bless us with the opportunity of expanding our family. For the last 8+ years, it has been John, Jackson (our lab) and myself but we knew we wanted more. After years of "experiencing" life we decided it was time ..... Now, several months later we are expecting our first little one aka BEAN! We are beyond overjoyed and feel very blessed. This blog is to share the little moments as well as the big ones with our family and friends.

37 Week Appointment and Update

37 weeks... Honestly, where has the time gone? Our last appointment went really well. I am currently going to an OB group that has five female physicians, so I have had to see all the physicians before I deliver in case my main physician is not on call when we go into to labor. I met the last of the five today... she confirmed that everything was still going well. I lost 1 lb. which apparently is normal as you get closer to your due date. My blood pressure was a little high compared to how it has been lately, which probably contributes to the nose bleeds I have been having but they didn't seem concerned. She confirmed that Brooklyn is still in the head down position and is extremely low. She stated that I was still not dilated but "thinned out" and that I should expect to deliver her within the next few days or week(s). She reiterated that Brooklyn is probably close to 7 lbs. if not more at this time.... We head back next Wednesday for another check up- will keep all of you posted. Counting down the days!
